At DMAG, we thrive on solving complex challenges — and our recent collaboration with Siemens Security at the INEOS Grangemouth plant was no exception. Tasked with delivering a high-performance physical access control solution in one of Scotland’s most critical industrial environments, we knew this project would demand more than just off-the-shelf thinking.

The site’s tight spatial constraints and existing building infrastructure posed a unique hurdle: no possibility of underfloor cabling. That meant we had to rethink how to integrate our SG Series Speed Gates without compromising on performance, aesthetics, or safety.
Our solution? Custom-engineered raised plinths, designed and fabricated in-house to accommodate all cabling requirements above ground. These plinths not only provided a clean, secure platform for the gates but also preserved the integrity of the building’s structure — no channelling, no disruption.
To ensure the installation reflected the site’s identity, we also incorporated bespoke printwork on the gate panels, proudly displaying the INEOS logo. Every detail was coordinated in close contact with the client, from initial design to final commissioning, ensuring a smooth rollout and a system that felt purpose-built from day one.
This project is a testament to what happens when technical expertise meets true collaboration. We’re proud to have delivered a solution that’s as functional as it is visually integrated — and even prouder to do it alongside Siemens and INEOS.
If you have a requirement, even if you're not sure how it will work, get in touch as we will be sure to have a solution!
